I absolutely love the Blockbuster Rewards Program where I can rent 3 movies and get 3 non-new releases for FREE from monday-wednesday. Plus if I rent movies it accumulates to more free ones as well. Yay!! So I walk away with 6 movies for $10-$15
This leads me to my review list of most recently rented of my blockbuster travels.
The Last House on the Left { I liked it but it was just no where near the original. They toned down the violence, I'm pretty sure the story was altered although it has been awhile since I've seen the other one, and they just don't make horror movies like they used to. My big issue always seems to boil down to the lack of music in the new horror movies. The road does not "lead to nowhere" in this movie and you don't have to remind yourself that "it's only a movie, only a movie, only a movie." ...and if you did not catch that last reference you need to look up the trailer for the old movie, lol;) Expectations high but was a let down, ***
I Love You, Man! { This movie had many mouth dropping, shocking moments(which takes alot for me). To me that's a good thing, but people like my grandmother would absolutely hate it. It was a little slow in the building but it kept me entertained enough to watch it and it picked up later and more than made up for it in the ending. I have to have a good ending even if it isn't on the logical closier point(not saying this isn't, just wanted to make a note for future reference). I also enjoy a good movie that can be fun and can apply to real life situations. I would definitely buy it in the future since I do plan on watching it again. ****
Miss March { The movie is a bit odd and unrealistic but it does have some fun and interesting scenes that may get a laugh or two. I did enjoy it but I probably won't buy it though. **
The Haunting in Connecticut { The movie was good......but.....I watched the documentary first. BAD IDEA! This killed the thrill of the horror for me. You know that thing in your head that gives you the idea that everything in the movie must be real since it's based on a true story. Well, after watching the documentary I then knew what really transpired supposedly but then as I watched the movie found all the differences which then changed the whole movie and believeability for me and the end was even wrong. The movie probably would have had a major impact if not for this main fact but alas I can not get over the deceptions. ***
